Grace
This is of course, another bellydancer. Ok I’m obsessed. Whatever! I used a picture taken by Richard G. Lowe. as a reference. I made some small changes like adding the corset instead of what she was wearing. Don’t you wish you could bellydance in corsets? It’s kind of impossible. Oh well.
As usual this is done in Adobe Illustrator using 100% vector. The background is a made up of swatch patterns and various opacities. The hair was by far the hardest and most time consuming part of this but I think it turned out nice. What do you think? It ended up reminding me of ice cream so I made a pic of ice cream right after this.

I actually did this illustration for my home office. I have some beautiful veils covering the windows and wanted to incorporate the veils into a picture that I could hang above my desk. I saw the reference image on Deviant Art and just loved the post and thought it was very adorable. You might think there’s not enough detail in the actual clothes and skin but I really wanted the veil to be the main focal point. Anyways I hope you like it, I know I do!
Hookah Genie
I decided I wanted to do make a hookah pipe and thought it would be interesting in vector. It took me forever to pick the colors at first I was doing it in natural colors like browns and reds but it didn’t look quite right. I decided to go with the classic pink genie girl look. This illustration seemed to have great feedback on Deviant Art. I’m not sure why. Maybe people like hookahs and genies! I actually hate hookah smoke but think the actual hookah device can be quite beautiful.

Dia de los Muertos
A little early I know but here is a Dia de los Muertos inspired piece. I wanted to do something for my zombie411.com blog. I might end up changing this to be a t-shirt you can buy and add a zombie411 logo maybe. Dia de los Muertos is a Mexican holiday right after Halloween. It is a day of honoring the dead. I was inspired by this holiday when doing this illustration. In my mind she is not actually dead but dressing up and celebrating at the cemetary.
Cute Saw
Who would have thought a saw could be cute? Well here is proof that it can. I’m working on this zombie saw right now. There are still a few finishing touches I need to make but I thought it would make a cute t-shirt. I am planning to put it up on my zombie411.com blog when I am finished. Also, After I am done I am going to do a “boy” version in camo colors with fire coming off of it. :O
